John Cadbury sold tea and chocolate in 1824. He opened a cocoa factory in Bridge Street, England, in 1831. John and his brothers founded Cadbury Brothers in 1847.


After John Cadbury died, his two sons ran the business. But things were bad. Company losses began. It recovered, and by 1866, the company's production changed. The brothers produced chocolate and introduced better cocoa. The 1914 candy bar was popular.


Cadbury brothers invented the Dairy Milk Bar. George Cadbury Junior created this chocolate. This chocolate had more milk than any other.


The UK introduced Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate in 1905. Dairy Milk sold milk chocolate products. Cadbury licenses Hershey to manufacture the brand in the US. China, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Kazakhstan sell chocolate candies.


India adores Cadbury chocolate. This treat has been a hit in India since its introduction. It debuted in 1948. It was initially unpopular. The 1990s campaign made Cadbury Dairy Milk famous. The ad shows a girl dancing in the field with a Cadbury chocolate bar.


Cadbury Milk Products


Cadbury Dairy Milk's main ingredients are milk, sugar, cocoa, cocoa butter, emulsifier, and vegetable oil. American candy has sugar, lactose, soy lecithin, and artificial flavours.


Birmingham, England, produced the first Cadbury dairy milk in 1905. In 1926, Cadbury Dairy Milk introduced new chocolates. The "fruit and nuts" bar had raisins and almonds. In the 1930s, Cadbury Dairy Milk introduced "Whole Nut" with hazelnuts. "Dairy Milk Silk," a milk chocolate-covered Turkish delight, was a new variation.



The brand has led UK chocolate production since the 1930s. Dairy milk was the second-best seller in 2020. McVitie's chocolate digestive biscuits were placed first. Dairy Milk Ritz debuted in 2014. Ritz Crackers had a salty taste and texture in this bar.




Vegemite debuted in 1015. This product had lots of milk chocolate, caramel, and vegemite. Australia launched it. The candy bar became rounder in 2010. Bar weight decreased. The brand announced 2015 changes. They promised a 33% sugar-free chocolate bar this time.



Cadbury Dairy Milk Brands


Cadbury makes Dairy Milk, Boost Caramel, Crunchie, Picnic, Curly Wurly, Jelly Babies, Mints, and Black Jacks Trident Gums. Cadbury Dairy Milk's candy brands include:


Cadbury Fruit and Nuts is mostly almonds and Brazilian nuts. Hazelnuts and raisins are sometimes added.


Bournville is rich, cocoa-scented dark chocolate. Treat is named after its hometown—50% cocoa Indian premium chocolate.


Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo is extra crunchy and creamy. People adore this product.

Valentine's Day Silk Valentine Special. Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk is smooth milk chocolate. "Heart pop" is included.


Cadbury Dairy Milk Bubbly is bubble-shaped chocolate. Its bubblegum-chocolate flavour is unique. Dark milk chocolate covers pink candy filling.


Cadbury's Roasted almonds' rich texture complements them. Three chocolate bar packs are included—137 grams per bar.


Cadbury Dairy Milk Ads


Cadbury dairy milk became the top seller after its release. Highland Milk, Jersey, and Dairy Maid were other names. Name origin unknown. The brand claims the customer's daughter suggested the name.


Cadbury Dairy Milk's new advertising slogan was "glass and a half." In 1928, the slogan promoted the chocolate bar's milk content. Cadbury Dairy Milk's 1970s TV ad was a hit. Nuts, whole hazelnuts, was the tagline. Ooh! Cadbury dipped them in chocolate.


Gorilla was the 2007 campaign. "Glass and half-full production" was the new tagline. Gorilla was shown drumming in an ad. The gorilla hit Phil Collins. "In the air, tonight" played during the ad. The Big Brother 2007 finale featured this campaign. This campaign garnered over 20 million YouTube views.


2008 relaunched Gorilla Advertising. "Total Eclipse of the Heart" replaced the soundtrack. These commercials were mashed up online.


2008 saw a second major advertising campaign. The "glass half-full production" tagline dominated this campaign. The advertisement showed nighttime airport runway truck races. "Don't stop me now" played in this ad. Cadbury Dairy Milk promoted a record label. Zingolo was released. The song discussed Fairtrade Dairy.
